February 11th is Grandparents' Day!  Students may be dismissed early this day and it will NOT count against Radical Roadrunner.

February 12th is a HALF DAY and also Valentine's Day parties.  Bring a decorated box to exchange valentines.

February 15th is Presidents' Day and therefore - NO SCHOOL!

Mrs. Bender's Reminders:

School supplies such as glue, scissors, pencils, pens, highlighters, and crayons will be used as community property, so personalization isn't necessary. (Notebooks, folders, clipboards, and math cards are okay)

- Check behavior charts daily.  If there is a notation of -1$, -2$, or -3$ - please sign it and be sure it is returned the next day.

- Students are responsible for writing homework assignments in their Agenda Mates.

- If you are interested in volunteering, please send in a note of some sort telling what times you would be available during the week. (Volunteers are a WONDERFUL thing!)

Science/Social Studies Quizzes and Tests

Students should take their GREEN FOLDERS home to study for each quiz and test.  We have spent time in the classroom studying for a quiz, so they know what is expected.  The learning map in the green folder is the study guide - it is the key to the quiz or test!  All they need to know is on that paper!  Be on the lookout for it when a quiz or test is coming up.

Science and Social Studies quizzes and tests...if your child is dissatisfied with his/her grade, s/he can make corrections and turn it in for an improved grade.  If the quiz or test is stamped "PARENT SIGNATURE REQESTED" then please sign the form before it is brought back to me.  If you and your child are satisfied with the grade, just keep it!
